As head of KBC's Open Bankinsurance team, Bartel is responsible for KBC’s embedded finance initiatives. Their current proposition led to successful partnerships with Tesla, Polestar, iChoosr and many others. After working a few years for the IT department, Bartel became product owner at Payments. There he implemented PSD2 for KBC and launched innovative payment solutions in Belgium amongst which Payconiq and NFC payments via wearables.
