Saar Carre is Head of Payments & Daily banking and Program Manager at Febelfin, the Belgian Financial Sector Federation. She is passionate about payment systems, new technologies and open banking. Next to ensuring the well-functioning of existing payment instruments with the members of Febelfin, she monitors the Belgian and European market for new payment trends and keeps an eye on existing and future regulation.

Saar acts as the Chairperson for the SWIFT National Member Group and represents the Belgian Financial Sector in various industry bodies, e.g., the Payment Expert Group of the European Banking Federation and the National Retail Payments Committee, chaired by the National Bank of Belgium.
